Mission

The idea is to create an experience where a young diverse group of individuals who have been affected by breast and/or gynecological cancer can come together, relax, relate, and build community.

Three Pillars

Healing

During our program, we provide spaces that allow participants to feel supported, whether they choose to share their cancer-related experiences or not.

Empowerment

Helping individuals see themselves in a new light. We encourage them to embrace vulnerability and celebrate one’s body. Often, participants leave the retreat with a renewed sense of self-love, and confidence.

Community

The community created during the retreat extends beyond the event, fostering ongoing connections and a sense of belonging for all involved. The power of having folks that "just get it" is truly why lion-ess retreat exists.

I thought it was so great just to have the time to breathe and be away from my usual environment.
I wish the retreat could have lasted a little longer..
